About the Opportunity

Samuel Smith & Son is looking for an enthusiastic full-time Administrator to join their National Credit Department in Adelaide CBD. Although a typical day will be 8:30am - 5pm, these hours are flexible.

Reporting to the National Credit Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing banking administration in order to support a team of Credit Managers.

More specifically, your duties will include:

  • Preparing daily spread sheets;
  • Processing banking and offsetting invoices on a daily basis (BPAY/EFT / Credit Card / Cheque);
  • Regularly reconciling bank account to general ledger transactions;
  • Data entry for new customer credit applications;
  • Filing of daily Bank Deposit Journals and supporting paperwork; and
  • Providing general clerical and administrative support to the Credit team.

Samuel Smith & Son is looking for an energetic individual with experience in banking administration and data processing. This is a great opportunity to really take ownership of your role, working autonomously to support the rest of the Credit team. A quick learner, you'll take instruction well and use your prior knowledge of invoicing and offsetting to ensure your success, although full training will be provided.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be someone who enjoys following processes and procedures and thrives in an administrative environment. It is important you have exceptional organisational skills, the ability to prioritise your workload and perform well under pressure. Attention to detail is a must and competence with the standard suite of MSOffice is  required.
